At Aquastars, our PADI Instructors offer the full range of courses from Discover Scuba Diving, for the complete beginner, PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, a range of Specialty Courses and even Divemaster, the first Professional Level course, for those who would like to make diving a career.
Discover Scuba Diving
The journey often begins with a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, a short session in shallow water to learn some simple skills followed by a carefully supervised dive on a shallow reef with an instructor. You’ll get to experience breathing underwater for the first time, then have a chance to explore the most beautiful part of any dive, the top few metres, which are teeming with marine life.
PADI Open Water Diver
If you get the bug, and would like to become a certified diver, the next step is the PADI Open Water Diver course. This includes further shallow water or pool sessions, to make sure you have mastered important skills such as clearing your mask and finding your regulator, and know how to be a good dive buddy. You’ll have some reading or classroom sessions to do, to learn more about the equipment, how your body adapts to diving and the environment you’ll be diving in. Most importantly, you will also make a series of dives with an instructor to develop the confidence you will need to dive independently with a buddy after certification.
PADI Advanced Open Water and Specialties
For certified divers, we offer a range of advanced courses including PADI Advanced Open Water, to get you that bit deeper, improve your navigation skills and take part in Adventure Dives such as Underwater Naturalist or Wreck Diver. On our Liveaboard Safari Trips, you could take one or more PADI Specialty Courses, such as Underwater Photographer, Nitrox, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver or Night Diver – just let us know if you’d like to add to your Certifications while you are with us.
PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster
Beyond Advanced Open Water, we can take you through becoming a Rescue Diver and onto PADI Divemaster, then support you with experience and guidance if you choose to work towards becoming a PADI Instructor.
Scuba Reviews and Refreshers
If you’ve been a diver in the past and need a bit of a refresher, you can complete the PADI ReActivate or Scuba Review programmes with us to refresh your knowledge, perhaps before moving on to an Advanced Open Water or Speciality Course.
